Key Sights: Zhujiajiao Water Town, Huangpu River Cruise
After a complimentary pickup from your hotel in Shanghai (around 12:00 noon), you will start this relaxing trip and head to Zhujiajiao Water Town. It takes about one hour from Shanghai city center to Zhujiajiao, a famous and typical water town of Yangtze River Delta.
The town is shaped like a fan, with winding waterways connected by ancient stone bridges. Well-preserved old buildings used for residence houses, shops, tea houses and restaurants line on both sides of the waterways. With hundreds of years of history, the town boasts rich cultural and historical heritage. Walking along, you will visit attractions including its historic post office, opera stage, art gallery and traditional handicraft exhibition hall.
While driving back to Shanghai city center, visit a silk museum where you will learn about the making process of silk, and shop for quality silk products if you are interested.
At dusk, it is time to board a luxury cruise on Huangpu River for a memorable evening of spectacular scene. Buffet dinner onboard is included. After the cruise, you will be transferred back to your hotel by 21:00.
