I want to go from 10/1, 2014 to 10/5, 2014. What''s the weather like and is it worth going? Will I see Harbin Ice and Snow World show?

Asked by Mark on Jul. 15, 2014
Sunny Xie (Jul. 16, 2014) replied:
Hi Mark, October is not an ideal period of visiting Harbin but the best time would be from Christmas till next March when the Ice and Snow World show is open to visitors. In October, the average temperature is around 3-15 degree without snowing. You may visit the normal attractions, like Siberian Tiger Park, St Sofia Orthodox Church and Temples, etc. Feel free to email me at sunny@chinahighlights.net for further information. I''m from Australia and I can''t seem to find any information on the accommodation at Erlongshan or anywhere to book. Do they have a website?

Asked by Amber on Jul. 3, 2014
Lussie Lu (Jul. 4, 2014) replied:
Dear Amber, We don't have much information about the hotel at Erlongshan. I checked with our local agency and realize that the condition of the hotel there is not good, so I don't recommend you to stay there. Erlongshan ski resort is about 50 km from downtown. It takes about 1 hour by car. I suggest you stay in the downtown. There are many option for reference. 1. Harbin International Hotel (4 star): near railway station 2. Modern Hotel Harbin (4 star): No.89 Central Street, Daoli District 3. New Gloria Plaza Hotel (3 star): No. 257 Central street

Lussie Lu (Jun. 11, 2014) replied:
Dear Umair Khan, I checked the average temperature ranges from -15℃ to -25℃ in Harbin in Jan. and Feb. This is the coldest season in Harbin. You could wear down jacket. Some of our clients who come from hot area didn't feel so cold, as there is heating system indoors.
