Hi Steven,

I am writing to thank China Highlights for an amazing holiday. The service provided by Michael Hu was exceptional, and gave us every confidence that our trip would run smoothly, which was indeed the case.

Our visit to Beijing was all the better for our tour guide, Roy, and the driver. Nothing was too much trouble for Roy, he was friendly, informative and helpful in every way. He offerred to take us to the 13 Temples after The Great Wall, which was great, and made sure we arrived at the airport in time, and that we were OK to check in etc. The driver was exceptionally good, despite the hectic traffic, we always felt safe. The Hotel was extremely good, and the position was exceptional, walking distance to plenty of restaurants, markets, shops etc. The Baihe (Lily) Vegetarian Restaurant was excellent, and should be a part of all your Beijing tours.

Next we arrived in Xian, and were met by Catherine. Catherine was also very helpful, informative, and nothing was too much trouble. Even though we were only in Xian for 24 hours, she made sure we enjoyed every minute, (including organising a foot massage for me as my feet were extremely sore) and was also very helpful at the airport. The driver was also extremely good, as was the Hotel, however if we had been there for a few days, it would have been harder to walk to restaurants etc as there wasn't a lot close by.

At Chengdu we were met by Phoebe, who was excellent. She also was extremely helpful (coming into a pharmacy with me to help me buy items I required), informative and friendly. She also organised for us to attend the Changing Faces at the Tea House, which was most enjoyable. The Panda Breeding Centre was First Class, compared to any wildlife reserve I have been to. She helped us with the train, organising a porter and early embarkation. The driver was once again helpful, and made us feel safe. The Hotel was also great.

The trip on the Century Sky was First Class, the staff were amazing, and thank you for the fruit on arrival, it helped when we had no dinner. The food on board was exceptional, and the service excellent, with the cabins cleaned twice daily. Even though we didn't go on all the planned shore excursions as Peter was unwell, the cabin was comfortable, and pleasant enough to stay on board.

Helen met us at Yichang, and took us for a drive around Yichang, and organised lunch for us at the airport, as well as ensuring we were checked in on time. Even though we were only with Helen for a couple of hours, we felt we would like to return to Yichang after spending this time with her.

Sara was our tour guide in Shanghai, and was delightful, however we were met at the air port by Alex. He was very informative, friendly and polite. Sara took us on a wonderful tour around Shanghai, and it turned out that my friend (Cecile Yates) had organised a Tongli Tour for the three of us, and Sara was our guide once again. She was excellent. The Bund Hotel was in a wonderful location, and was extremely comfortable. Alex organised our transfer to Shanghai Airport, and was really helpful.

Once again, thank you for an amazing experience, we wouldn't hesitate in recommending China Highlights to our friends and family, and we hope to return to China again one day.
