The Hong Kong Book Fair

The Hong Kong Book Fair (香港書展) is organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council annually in July to promote the local reading culture. 

Besides selling and exhibiting new books and media products, there are reading and writing workshops, seminars, and autograph sessions for book lovers.

  • 2020 dates: 17–21 July 2020 (Wednesday–Tuesday)

Annual Book Fair

The Hong Kong Convention CentreThe Hong Kong Convention Centre is on Victoria Harbor.

Each year, to promote reading and book sellers, the fair is held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. In 2018, there were 670 exhibitors, and the attendance was close to 1,000,000.

  • Hours: 18-19 July 2018 (Wed-Thur) 10am-10pm; 10am-8pm (Level 5); 20-21 July 2018 (Fri-Sat) 10am – 12midnight (Level 1) 10am – 11pm (Level 3) 10am – 8pm (Level 5); 22-23 July 2018 (Sun-Mon) 10am-10pm 10am – 8pm (Level 5); 24 July 2018 (Tue) 9am-5pm
  • Ticket prices, promotions (2018): Adult Ticket: HK$25, Child Ticket : HK$10 (for children under 1.22m tall/ primary school students).
    Morning Admission Ticket (entry before 12:00noon): HK$10 (available for sale at the fairground only each day). Re-entry promotion: Regular tickets dated 18 and 19 July can enjoy one-time free admission on 20, 21 or 22 July after 5pm by presenting the whole stub attached to the admission ticket.
