Jingdezhen is famous for the production of porcelain. Well-known as the "porcelain city" since the Song Dynasty (960–1279), Jingdezhen is a city with more than 1,700 years history on porcelain production. Being a renowned tourist city in China, the transportation to Jingdezhen is convenient and swift, with air transport, train transport and coach transport for your selection. Jingdezhen urban area is not very large, and the city buses and taxis make your trip in the urban area convenient enough.
Air
Jingdezhen Airport (景德镇机场) is located in Luojia Village, Hongyuan Town, Fuliang County, being about 7 kilometers from the urban area. At present, daily flights direct to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Ganzhou and Anqing are operated in the airport. Connecting flights to Chengdu, Kunming, Xi'an, Haikou, Sanya, Nanning, Beihai and Zhanjiang via Shenzhen are also available. You can search and book a flight ticket on China flights.
Airport Transportation
Passengers can take an airport shuttle bus come and go between the airport and Jingdezhen urban area. The route of the airport shuttle bus is: Jingdezhen Railway Station (景德镇火车站)–Wal-Mart–People's Square (人民广场)–Zhushan Middle Road (珠山中路)–Xi Ke Zhan (西客站)–Jingdezhen Airport (景德镇机场). The ticket fee is 10 yuan for a voyage.
Departure time
- On Monday, Wednesday and Saturday: 09:10, 11:30, 17:45 and 19:50 from Jingdezhen urban area; 10:30, 12:50, 18:55 and 21:00 from the airport
- On Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday: 09:10, 17:45 and 19:50 from Jingdezhen urban area; 10:30, 12:50 and 21:00 from the airport
Notice: The departure time of the airport shuttle bus might be adjusted according to the takeoff time and fall time of flights. Passengers also can take a taxi to the airport (takes about 20 minutes), which costs about 45 yuan, and most of the taxi drivers do not turn on the meter. If the taxi driver turns on the meter, it only takes about 20 yuan.
Railway
Passengers can take train from Jingdezhen Railway Station to many cities, such as Nanjing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Taizhou, Kunming, Shanghai, Qingdao, Yingtan, Nanchang, Hefei, Xiamen, and Fuzhou. The railway station is located in Tongzhan Road (通站路), and the telephone number is 0798-7022482. Passengers can take bus 12 or 28 to get there. Taking a taxi to the station in the urban area only costs about 6 yuan.
Bus/Coach
There are three bus stations in Jingdezhen, including Jingdezhen Bus Station (景德镇汽车站), Jingdezhen East Bus Station (景德镇汽车东站) and Jingdezhen South Bus Station (景德镇汽车南站).
Jingdezhen Bus Station also named Jingdezhen Long-Distance Bus Terminal (景德镇长途客运中心), situated at the junction of Yingbin Avenue (迎宾大道), Changjiang Avenue (昌江大道) and Cidu Avenue (瓷都大道). Passengers can take bus 2, 4, 5, 9, 15, 28, 108 or K35 to get there. The station mainly operates buses departing to other provinces, especially provinces of Zhejiang and Anhui. Buses to Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Ningbo, Hangzhou, Yiwu, Wenzhou and Jiujiang are all available in the station. Every day, there are several buses departing to Nanchang from 06:40 am to 18:20, which is the most frequent route of the station.

Jingdezhen East Bus Station is near Jingdezhen Railway Station, and the buses there mainly depart to cities or counties within Jiangxi Province. Passengers can take bus 12 or 28 to get there.
Jingdezhen North Bus Station mainly offers buses to cities or counties within Jiangxi Province. Bus 1, 6, 9, 11 or K106 are all available for getting there.
Jingdezhen–Huangshan Transportation
By Train
Jingdezhen is about 167 kilometers from Huangshan, which is renowned for the Yellow Mountains.
You can take a train in Jingdezhen Railway Station. There are 11 trains departing to Huangshan City every day, and the length of the time for a voyage ranges from 3 hours to 4.5 hours, depending on train you chose. The ticket price ranges from 11 yuan to 25 yuan. The cheapest ticket costs only 11 yuan for Train 6092, which departs at 14:12 daily and arrives at Huangshan at 18:52.
After arriving at the Huangshan Railway Station, you can board a bus for the foot of the Yellow Mountains: Tangkou (汤口), and it takes about 1.5 hours to get there. There is one bus every 5 minutes by day, and the ticket is 13 yuan.
By Bus
There is no direct bus from Jingdezhen to the Yellow Mountains. However, you can take a bus to Tunxi District (屯溪区) in Huangshan Bus Terminal (黄山客运总站). Then transfer to a bus direct to the Yellow Mountains.
The drive from Jingdezhen to Tunxi is 2 hours long, and the ticket is 61 yuan per person. The bus departs at 13:00 daily at Jingdezhen Bus Station.
After arriving at Huangshan Bus Terminal, transfer to a bus to the foot of the Yellow Mousntains: Tangkou, which costs 16 yuan per person and needs a 70-minute drive.
City Transportation
There are more than 20 bus lines traveling around Jingdezhen urban area. The majority of the buses is available from 06:30 to 18:30, and individually extends to 21:30 or 22:00. It cats 1 yuan for a voyage.
In Jingdezhen, the flag down fare for taxi is 6 yuan (daytime) or 7 yuan (nighttime) for the first 3 kilometers (1.9 miles), and then 1.4 yuan (1.7 yuan from 23:00 to 05:00 in the next day) for each additional kilometer.
