Enjoying a reputation of “the tourism pearl of Mountain Altai”, this crescent freshwater lake is about 120 meters deep on average, and the deepest part reaches 196 meters. It is not only famous for its picturesque scenery, but also for it’s the lake monster stories (it is still a mystery now). Tuwa people speak Turkish, resembling the language of Kazakh, and live on hunting and graze. They also have a special folk custom. This barren brown place and the sobbing wind might arouse your fear, that’s why it is called the Monster City by the local Kazakhs.
