The Tibetan name for Mount Everest is Chomolangma which means Holy Mother. It is the world's highest mountain at 8,848 meters above sea level and is part of the Himalaya range. Everest sits on the border between Nepal and Tibet. More than 2,000 people have successfully climbed to the top of mountain. Asordinary people, we now have some understanding of what is involved in making the ascent, but for most of us even having the opportunity to face the holy mountain is a once in a lifetime experience. China Highlights is committed to protecting Mt Everest and its pristine environment while providing our customers with the experience of a lifetime. It takes 3 hours to drive from Dingri to Mt. Everest Base Camp.
