Yichang's airport (Three Gorge Airport) is 26 kilometers away from the city center and has a few flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, and Chengdu.

There are daily flights from Yichang to Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province.

The airport bus leaves from Qingjiang Hotel (Qing Jiang Bing Guan) 2 hours prior to the flight departure. A taxi ride from the city center to the airport costs around 80-100 Yuan.

There are direct trains from Yichang to Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Xi'an. However, direct train service from Yichang to Guilin is not available, and to travel to Guilin you need to travel to Liuzhou first and then take a bus from Liuzhou to Guilin ( 2 hours).

City Transportation

Yichang has several bus stations and the main long-distance bus station is located south of the train station. Departures to Wuhan are plentiful but most of the buses are in poor condition. Travel from Yichang to Wuhan takes around 4hours.

Notice: the bus doesn't stop on the way and there are toilets on board.
