Guangzhou to Shenzhen Transportation

The distance between Guangzhou and Shenzhen is not evry far: the railway section from Guangzhou East Railway Station to Shenzhen Railway Station (in Luohu District) is 139 kilometers (86.4 miles); and Guangzhou-Shenzhen express way links Hnangcun Overpass in Guangzhou (广州黄村立交桥) and Huanggang Port in Shenzhen together, with 123-kilometer (or 76.4-mile) long, which means the distance between Guangzhou and Shenzhen by coach is about 130 kilometers (80.8 miles). The transportation between these two big cities in South China is very convenient and efficient. Travelers can take a coach or a train (including common train and bullet train)come and go between Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

Train Transport

Every day there are more than 140 pairrs of trains running between Guangzhou and Shenzhen, including three kinds of trains: train number begin with K, T and D. D Train

D trains park in Guangzhou East Railway Station and Shenzhen Railway Station with about 125 journeys a day, and the service time is from 04:00 to 22:20 for trains starting from Guangzhou and from 06:15 to 22:45 for trains starting from Shenzhen. The duration is about 70 minutes, and the ticket fares are 80 yuan for a second-class seat and 100 yuan for a first-class ticket.

T train and K train

Every day, there are dozens of T trains and K trains running between Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The railway stations for these trains can be Guangzhou Railway Station, Guangzhou North Railway Station, Shenzhen Railway Station and Shenzhen West Railway Station. The length of the time for a journey ranges from 96 minutes (T95/96, the departure time is 17:40 in Shenzhen and 04:38 in Guangzhou and the ticket price can be low as 24 yuan) to 3 hours and 17 minutes (K9084/9085).

Coach/Bus Transport

There are many coach/bus stations both in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Passengers can catch a bus come and from between Guangzhou and Shenzhen in each of them. The duration is about 1.5 hours (for some coaches can be short as about 90 minutes and some for coaches can be long as 2 hours). Every day, there are hundreds of coaches running between Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The service time is from 05:35 to 22:00 in Shenzhen and from 04:00 to 23:00 in Guangzhou (China Highlights advises passengers not to take the night coach for safety concerns). From Guangzhou to Shenzhen

The Guangdong Provincial Coach Station

It is quite convenient to travel from Guangzhou to Shenzhen and passengers can catch a coach to Shenzhen at each coach station in Guangzhou. For example: there is a coach to Shenzhen every 12 minutes at the Guangdong Provincial Coach Station (广东省汽车客运站) from 06:10 to 23:00, there is a coach every 12 minutes in Guangzhou Guangyuan Coach Station (广园汽车站) from 06:00 to 22:30, and there is a coach every 15 minutes at Guangzhou Coach Station (广州汽车客运站) from 06:00 to 22:00. It takes about an hour and a half by the nonstop coach with the approximate ticket price of around 60 Yuan (USD 8.8). Note: when passengers buying the tickets, they can tell the ticket sellers which coach station in Shenzhen they want to arrive at.

From Shenzhen to Guangzhou

Every day, there are more than one hundreds coaches departing to Guangzhou, and passengers can catch a coach in each coach station of Shenzhen. For example: coaches to departing from Luohu Coach Station (罗湖客运站) is available from 06:00 to 22:00; there is a coach to Guangzhou every 15 minutes at Huanggang Coach Station (皇岗客运站) from 07:30 to 20:30 and there is a coach to Guangzhou at Fuyong Coach Station (福永客运站) every 30 minutes from 06:00 to 18:30. Shenzhen to Guangzhou Baiyun Airport

Passengers in Shenzhen can take a train or a coach to Guangzhou City first, and then transfer to an airport line, a bus, a subway or a taxi to Guangzhou Baiyun Airport (check out the information for Guangzhou Baiyun Airport transportation). At same time, passengers arriving at Baiyun Airport also can take a an airport line, a bus, a subway or a taxi to leave to airport, and then transfer to a train or a coach to Guangzhou. Airport line for Guangzhou Baiyun Airport is available in Shenzhen (China Highlights advises passengers without enough time not to take this bus, so as to board the flight on time).

Guangzhou to Shenzhen Baoan International Airport

Passengers in Guangzhou can take a coach in Guangdong Provincial Coach Station direct to Fuyong Coach Station (福永汽车站) and the departure interval is 30 minutes. The approximate ticket price is 58 yuan. Then transfer to a taxi or a bus to Shenzhen Baoan International Airport. The length of the time for a whole journey (from Guangdong Provincial Coach Station to Shenzhen Baoan International Airport) is about 2 hours.

Hi Intisar, you can take metro from Guangzhou Airport to Guangzhou Railway Station first. There are frequent bullet trains to Shenzhen. Then take a taxi to the optical frame market. The time in total is about 2.5hrs, and the cost is around CNY150.

Hi Zireva, yes, quite possible. You can take bullet train(D train) from Guangzhou Railway Station or Guangzhou East Railway Station. The duration is about 1.5hr. The trains are available from 06:15 to 22:40, with very good frequency.

Hi Edmund, there are no direct coaches between Shenzhen Baoan Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. You can take airport shuttle bus Line 1 or Line2 to Shenzhen Railway Station first. Then take bullet train to Guangzhou Railway Station and transfer subway to Baiyun Airport. The total duration is about 3-3.5hrs. And the cost is around CNY150.
