Helen from Chengdu - 6 Stars
![]() Helen, our private guide in Chendu, was just the best. An ABSOLUTE 6 Star Guide. She met us from the airport, calmly reviewed out 3 day itinerary, checked all was as we expected, and then spent 3 days ensuring we have the best time possible. Helen was lovely and was very flexible to our needs, and changed a few things for us. She took us on so many unscheduled activities, such as a Local Street Foodie tour, which was just fabulous, and tea in the local park, with ear cleaning, and a “marriage market” (although we couldn’t offload our daughter there !). Helen seemed to be telepathic in understanding what we wanted, and you could see she was thinking and adjusting everything all the time, to suit us. If I was running a Tour Company I would get her to train everyone. Helen from Xian - 6 Stars ******. more

Suggested Itinerary
Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Chengdu to the Dujiangyan Area.
Visit Dujiangyan Panda Base in the morning when pandas are most active during the day. Many popular overseas returnees, such as Le Le (from Singapore), now live out their retirement in this tranquil and graceful place.
After lunch, head to Dujiangyan Irrigation System, an excellent engineering has been set up for nearly 2300 years. Stroll in this UNESCO World Heritage Site and marvel at ancient people's profound understanding of nature and water management.
Drive from Dujiangyan to Mount Siguniang for about 3-4 hours and stay at a hotel near the scenic spot tonight.
After breakfast, embark on your hiking adventure in Changping Valley—a partially developed paradise for hiking enthusiasts. Remember to pack a lunch, as there are no restaurants at the scenic spot.
Your journey begins at a Tibetan temple nestled at the foot of snow-capped mountains. Hike through ancient forests, where you'll discover cascading waterfalls, glacier-covered peaks, and rich alpine vegetation, before reaching your destination - Muluozi, a picturesque meadow surrounded by 360-degree mountain vistas. The return follows the same trail.
This 22-kilometer (14-mile) round-trip hike takes 7–8 hours, but it's great for beginners since you can turn back anytime you feel tired.
Today, explore Shuangqiao Valley—the most stunning valley in Siguniang Mountain. Your adventure begins with a 50-minute scenic shuttle ride from the entrance directly to Redwoods Terminal Station, the valley's highest point. From there, you'll descend the valley via a combination of shuttle bus and short walks. Marvel at glistening glaciers, endless mountain ranges, wild sea buckthorn forests, crystal-clear lakes, and grazing yaks. Keep your camera ready—you might capture the perfect shot of snow-capped peaks mirrored in the alpine lakes!
After your visit, drive back to Chengdu (4-5 hours), concluding your Mount Siguniang tour. Along the way, you'll stop at Maobiliang Ridge to admire all four peaks of Siguniang Mountain. If you're lucky, you might witness the breathtaking 'Golden Mountains'.
