Tianjin–Nanjing Train Ticket Tips
Most of the Tianjin–Nanjing trains run along the Beijing–Shanghai high-speed railway. Tianjin and Nanjing are neither the first departure stations nor the final terminal stations. The two stations are just major stops on the way.
It is possible that tickets between Tianjin and Nanjing might be unavailable. In this case, you can try to purchase a ticket for an earlier station on the route, such as Beijing to Nanjing. Please note that you need to collect your paper tickets before the train departs from the earlier station.
Another option is to buy tickets for the next stop after Nanjing but still get off at the station in Nanjing. This may cost a little more than you expected but at least you can still make the trip.
For example, take the high-speed train G57 that’s detailed in the screenshot below. If the tickets between Tianjin and Nanjing are unavailable, you can check and book the tickets from Beijing to Nanjing or Tianjin to Yixing instead. You can still board the train as you originally planned.
