We had 4 amazing days with China highlights in Guilin. Our Guide Steven made it a perfect experience! It was definitely one of our most memorable trips we ever had and thanks to China highlights and our guide Steven everything went so smooth that we didn’t have to worry about anything - perfect holiday!

We had a very special kind of tour, kicking off with a hike at the Longji rice terraces, followed by two days of cycling through the countryside and mountains with some challenging but worth the view uphill parts, starting from Daxu to Xingping, where we had a delicious lunch at a well chosen restaurant and then took the ferry to spend the night at a lovely hotel on the island. From there we started the second part of the tour through the mountains to Xianggong hill for the perfect view of the river bend - the nature at our whole way at these days in the countryside was just stunning and the more arduous parts of biking uphill (with very good rental bikes by the way!) were definitely worth it! We ended the biking tour with a last part along the river before we checked in for our last night at a beautiful lodge hotel with perfect river view. We finished our beautiful time here with a bamboo raft on the river which was the perfect calm and relaxing end of our unforgettable trip to Guilin & Yangshuo. Steven chose the perfect route for our biking tour according to our fitness level and was helpful, funny and just made it a perfect experience.

Amazing! It is hard to find words to discribe this wonderful place in Guanxi Province. We spent 2 nights in Guilin. From there we visited the Longhsen rice terasses. On the way back we had a fun rafting. After we spended 2 nights in Yangshuo. The river cruise on the Li river was breathtaking. In Yanghsuho we did so many thinks that I never expeced we could do it in 3 days. This was only possible because of our wonderful and perfect englisch speaking guide Gary. He is very professional, kind, helpful and patient and even our 3 teenager Kids liked him so much (normaly it is not easy to empress them). I can defenetly say that without him our stay in Guilin would not have been so perfect. For foreigners it is not easy to book tickets, going to covid test, find the right places,...or it takes us for ever. So Gary saved us so much time by booking in advance, finding the right entrances and especialy escape the crowed places.... we just had to follow him. He made our stay 100% perfect.

And also a big thanks to Alisa from China Highlights. She booked for uns the flights, hotel, driver, car and guide. The travelroute was well organized and the hotels perfect. She was also so patient with me and my 100 extra wishes. I can warmly recomend this company. It wasn′t the first time we booked with China Highlights and will defenetly not be the last time.

Another great travel with China Highlights. Due to school holidays we had to come in summer and yes, it was very hot. Still it was an unforgettable experience with the most beautiful sceneries we have ever seen. Monica prepared for us full experience with Longji rice terraces, Li River cruise, Xiang Gong Hill, tea picking, cave visit, etc. Lily has been very helpful and flexible with our wishes and adjusted according to weather, tiredness and hunger. Also restaurant selection was very good but we recommend to go for Chinese food as Western food is not really a strength for restaurant from this corner of China and the local food is really delicious in here.

We had a private tour of Guilin and Yangshuo with our awesome tour guide Jenny! We had an amazing time in each place we visited. Jenny was very knowledgeable about each area and activity we did. She shared very useful and insightful information about the area that helped us learn a lot about China and the culture in this area. We really appreciated it as it was our first time travelling in China. Jenny was very relaxed and flexible and made us feel at ease all the time. Her English is excellent and she helped us with all of the testing and other documentation we needed when travelling. We would not have been able to get by without her. It was an amazing few days in Guilin and Yangshuo that we will never forget! If it wasn’t for Jenny and our driver the trip would have been quite stressful! If we come back to Guilin and Yangshuo we will definitely request Jenny again. We couldn’t fault any part of our trip! Thank you so much Jenny and China Highlights for a memorable trip!

The trip was great, China Highlights are super flexible and you can request your own personalized trip with the activities you want to do (just ask them). One of the best things was to have a private driver and a tour guide. Our guide (Gary) was awesome from the beginning with a warm welcome. He is super calm, patient and knowledgeable and eager to learn from you as well. His English is excellent (I highly recommend him. If we ever ho back to Guilin we would request him again without doubt). We are a family of 3 (2 adults and a 10 year old boy) who spent 4 days in Guilin and 3 days in Xiamen. In Guilin we did the Spring Canyon of the Li River (it was awesome); we did the bamboo raft (also very nice, private and beautiful) followed by a river hike/walk (although it is beautiful, it is a little too long specially under the excruciating heat). We also did the ATV ride (it was super cool even more if it is your first time) and the Silver Caves (very pretty). After we went to Xiamen and we just wanted to hang out by the beach and enjoy the hotel. If you want to have great experiences headaches free I highly recommend China Highlights.

Just did a 5 day tour to Guilin/Yangshuo with China Highlights. Traveling from Shanghai (or anywhere) is complicated due to covid restrictions but with the 24/7 excellent help from the agency (thank you Coco) a lot is possible. Guilin/Yangshuo is so stunning that it feels a bit unreal. Just go and see for yourself. Our guide Jenny was truly amazing. She literally knows everything: the most beautiful sceneries, food, minorities, plants, hidden places, test locations, local restaurants, app use etc etc etc. And she is always friendly, helpful, supportive and thoughtful, knowing exactly what you need!
