We had a phenomenal trip of Dali and Shaxi with Daisy. She was kind, courteous, smiling, on time and constantly went out of her way to accommodate and help us with anything and everything. She has in depth understanding of the area, history, things to do, where / what to eat, historical perspective, good locations for photographs, and much more. Go Dali MUST look for Frank (tour guide)
China Highlight as a tour agent was fantastic. The driver and tour guide assigned were great. We went Dali and Frank the tour guide coordinated well with the driver. Frank is so knowledgeable and experienced as a tour guide. So he was able to bring us to all the places where the food all tasted great and environment was perfect. He also knew the best photo taking spots and helped us take so many nice pictures. He also brought some local fruits for us and cut them up during lunch. His efforts are totally commendable! more

Meet your private guide in the arrival hall of the airport or at the exit of the train station. Transfer to your hotel in Dali Old Town.
Explore Dali Old Town to feel its history and unique culture.
Take a cable car up Cangshan ('the Deep-Green Mountains'). Hike on the best strip — Yudai ('Jade Belt') Road to enjoy the waterfalls, streams, old temples and the great view of Erhai Lake. The hiking is about 12 km (7.5 miles).
Or you could replace the 'Jade Belt' hiking with exploring the hidden valley behind the mountains. Have a round-trip hike of about 10 km (6 miles) in the valley to enjoy the waterfalls, and then have fun with an all-terrain vehicle.
Experience the tie-dyeing of the Bei ethnic minority in a traditional Bai village at the foot of Cangshan. Make your own souvenir from Dali.
Have a bike ride along Erhai Lake in the morning. Feel the wind, and enjoy the flower-filled fields and peaceful white houses of the Bai minority.
