Attend the Canton Fair
Canton FairThe China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair for short) happens twice a year, and the spring fair falls in April. It is the largest trade fair in China with the widest range of goods and the highest business turnover.
Stroll in Yuexiu Park
Yuexiu Park is a popular site for local people. In spring, visitors go there for short hikes and to admire the flowers. If you want to get closer to the local people, visit the park in the morning or at night and join in with the locals as they do their exercises.
Don't forget to see the statue of five goats, which is the symbol of the city.

April is a Shoulder Travel Season
Guangzhou experiences a middle level of travel in April except during the Canton Fair days from the 12th to the end of the month. Flights and target hotel rooms are more difficult to get during those days.
