Chengdu-Guiyang High-Speed Railway connects capital cities of Sichuan and Guizhou Provinces. High-speed trains take 3.5 to 5 hours to cover 640 kilometers (400 miles). They originate/end at Chengdu East and Guiyang North/Guiyang East railway stations.
A new high-speed railway between Chengdu to Guiyang is now under construction. After the new rail line opened, the travel time will be cut to only 3 hours. Unlike the current high-speed rail line, the new one will not stop at Chongqing but at popular tourist cities of Leshan and Emeishan.

Chengdu-Guiyang New High-Speed Railway
The new high-speed rail line between Chengdu and Guiyang is expected to operate by the end of 2019. It starts from Chengdu East Railway Station, passes Leshan and Yibin in Sichuan Province, Weixin, Zhenxiong in Yunnan Province, Bijie in Guizhou Province and ends at Guiyang East Railway Station. The design speed is 250 kph (155 mph), with the travel time of 3 hours from Chengdu to Guiyang.
Chengdu – Guiyang High-Speed Railway connects Leshan - Emei Mount Passenger-Dedicated Railway and Chengdu - Leshan High-Speed Railway to the west and Kunming - Shanghai and Guiyang - Guangzhou high-speed railways to the east.
