Pay Attention to Your Train Stations
On the Shanghai–Nanchang train route, all of the high-speed trains operate at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station in Shanghai and most of them operate at Nanchang West Railway Station in Nanchang. All of the normal-speed trains operate at Nanchang Railway Station and most of them operate at Shanghai South Railway Station. Carefully select the stations when you book the trains.
Seat Types on G Trains
All of the high-speed trains on this route are G trains. There are three main types of seats on G trains:
- Business class is the highest class available on high-speed trains. It is the most expensive class but also the most comfortable, especially for long train journeys.
- First class is comfortable and offers more space than second class.
- Second class is the most economical and the facilities are better than those on normal-speed trains.
