Other Trains Between Hong Kong and Xi'an
Besides high-speed trains, you can also choose overnight sleeper trains for a transfer. This will save you a hotel bill and save the time of the day for sightseeing.
- Guangzhou to Xi'an: overnight sleeper trains from Guangzhou to Xi'an take 22-30 hours. They depart from Guangzhou Railway Station/Guangzhou North, which is not the same station for high-speed trains, and arrive at the centrally located Xi'an Railway Station. This option includes a transfer from Guangzhou South to Guangzhou Station by Metro Line 2 or to Guangzhou North by Metro Line 2, and then change to Metro Line 3 and finally take Metro Line 9.
- Changsha to Xi'an: overnight trains from Changsha to Xi'an take 14-20 hours. They also depart from/arrive at the centrally located stations of Changsha and Xi'an. You need to transfer from Changsha South to Changsha Station to take an overnight train.
