Clothing: Most of the time, clothing suitable for autumn and an overcoat are sufficient for Jiuzhai Valley National Park. Take rain gear and wear shoes with good traction.
Altitude Sickness: You'll probably experience it during an extended stay because most of the park lies between 2,000 meters (6,561 feet) and 3,000 meters (9,800 feet). The airport is at an unusually high elevation of 3,500 meters. Take precautions if you have high blood pressure, heart disease or other medical conditions. Walk downhill instead of uphill to avoid overexertion.

Huanglong Scenic AreaHike in Rize Valley: Rize Valley is still picturesque in November. You might see patches of beautiful trees clothed in yellow and red leaves contrast the blue and green hues of the ponds. It will probably create wonderful autumn scenes for hiking.
Visit Huanglong Scenic Area: It is another popular park valley you can see. It is about 50 kilometers away in a straight line. Since it is about a kilometer higher in altitude, by this time of year, temperatures fall well below freezing (-10 °C (14 °F)) at night and are a cold 3 °C (37 °F) around noon. There is about 15 mm (.5 inches) of rain or snowfall. There is usually snow cover, and the leaves are off the trees.
