Weather:July is the hottest month in Zhangjiajie, with an average high temperature of 35 °C (95 °F) and an average low temperature of 24 °C (75 °F). Rainfall is greatest for the whole year. To escape the heat, go to the Zhangjiajie Nature Reserve, where it is much cooler.

Clothing:Summer clothing is adequate during the month, but bring long sleeved clothing if you plan to stay overnight in the reserve.
