China Import and Export Fair (中国出口商品交易会), also called the Canton Fair (广交会), is an international trade fair held in April to May and October every year since 1957. Guangzhou, the capital city of Guangdong Province, is the host city of the the largest trade fair in China, with the best trade effect among all the trade fairs. About 25,000 domestic and overseas exhibitors, and 200,000 buyers from more than 210 countries attend Canton Fair every year.

Among all the domestic means of transportation to the city of Guangzhou, trains, especially high-speed trains, is a fast, cost-effective and comfortable way to go.

Hong Kong to Guangzhou by High-Speed Train

With the reopen of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Line, traveling between Hong Kong and Guangzhou have become much faster and more convenient. There are 33 pairs of high-speed trains for passengers to travel between Hong Kong and Guangzhou. All the bullet trains terminate at high-speed train stations of Hong Kong West Kowloon and Guangzhou South.

Seat Classes on Hong Kong to Guangzhou Bullet Trains

Most high-speed trains traveling between Hong Kong and Guangzhou have business, first and second classes. A few only have first and second classes. They are different in terms of space, comfort and cost.

1. Second class is the most popular, also the cheapest class on a bullet train. Among those three classes, second class have the largest number. Five seats are arranged in a row: two on one side the three on the other side of the aisle, similar to the economy class on a plane.

2. First class is usually available on just one or two carriages of a bullet train. A first-class ticket is more expensive than a second-class ticket but cheaper than a business class ticket. Four seats are arranged in a row, hence provide more elbow space. Each first-class car has an auto-door to keep privacy for passengers.

3. Business class is available on just one carriage of a bullet train. It is the luxurious and most expensive class. The ticket price is twice as a second class ticket. Three leathered seats (2+1) are arranged in a row, and all seats can be reclined to a flat position for passengers to lie down. It is a perfect choice for business people who need best travel experience with privacy and comfort.
