November is one of the best months to visit Guangzhou.
It is generally pleasant, cool, and sunny, and it rains infrequently. There are only about 5 days with rainfall each November, and total rainfall is only 35 mm. The average low and high temperatures are respectively 16 °C (61 °F) and 24 °C (75 °F).
Long-sleeve shirts and long pants are suitable during the day when it is warm, but in the early morning and evening, a sweater or a jacket is needed.
November is one of the most pleasant months for outdoor activities and seeing local attractions in Guangzhou and areas to the south such as Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macau.
As there is less rainfall and fewer clouds in September, it is a wonderful time to reach a high vantage point and enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the city.
The most recommended place is Canton Tower. You can enjoy the view from a height of over 600 meters or ride on the Ferris wheel at the top of the tower.
There’s no need to consider the rain and mist as you can enjoy a clear view along the Pearl River at night. November in Guangzhou is still pleasant enough for a river cruise, although you may need to take a thicker jacket with you on the boat.
During the Pearl River cruise, you can enjoy the bright and colorful views as well as seeing the tall buildings, such as Canton Tower, which is one of the world's tallest structures.
The cool, sunny weather is an excellent time to see the city zoo. You can walk around for hours visiting the various sections and gardens. It is one of the best zoos in the country. It is better even than the Beijing and Shanghai zoos.
The last 4 days of the Canton Fair fall in November.
Guangzhou’s 144-hour visa-free transit policy provides an ideal opportunity for foreign business people to visit the trade shows.
