Is air pollution a problem in Nanjing?
I suppose the answer to this question depends on your standard of comparison. All Chinese cities of pollution problems so that is the easiest answer to your question. I have lived in Beijing (1998-2004) and Nanjing is considerably cleaner than that city. I've lived here for 7 years and find it to be no dirtier than other major Chinese cities and cleaner in many respects. guest replied on 2011-03-18
I studied in Nanjing from 2000 to 2004. When I was there, the city was very dirty. Rivers were seriously polluted. The air was not clean that you could rarely see a blue sky. The polluation is very obvious even today. Ruru Zhou replied on 2010-12-07
