Our trip to Guilin and Yangshuo was guided by Henry, a very knowledgeable and helpful local guide. We visited in scorching heat and we had to make some adjustments to the program in order to be able to cope with the heat. Henry was very flexible and resourceful. For instance, he took as to learn and play mahjong in the afternoon, an activity which was lots of fun, and even offered us as a gift a small mahjong set for travel, which we highly appreciated. We also changed the visit to a water cave with a trip to Ruyi Peak, which was fitting our group better. The water cave exploration can be quite tricky as we understand and we have in our group a person over 60, therefore it did not seem appropriate. Instead, we agreed with Henry to visit Ruyi Peak, which offers spectaculor views over the karst scenery. We visited Da'xu ancient town and Red Flute cave in the first day, which was not so exciting, but the Li river cruise and visiting Yangshuo is really worthwhile. Henry also arranged for us to see the Impressions by SanjuLiu show, which we highly recommend.

Wir wurdem am Bahnhof von Ling abgeholt und bis wir am Hotel ankamen, hatte Sie bereits Medikamente für den Husten meines Mannes und meine Magenverstimmung besorgt. Das Highlight in Guilin, war für uns die Schiffahrt auf dem Lin-Fluss, mystisch und atemberaubend. Die Reissterrassen erstreckten sich endlos. Unser Hotel hatte einen wundersch?nen Blick auf den Fluss und die dahinterliegende Karstlandschaft. Wir k?nnen die private Reiseleitung (Ling und Chauffeur) sowie Chinahighlights w?rmstens empfehlen. Alles hat wunderbar geklappt.

We had the best time in Guilin and Yangshuo with Michelle as our guide. The Li River cruise is not to be missed— truly stunning! We loved the quiet beauty of Yangshuo. My kids loved the Reed Flute Cave, and my husband, and I loved the bike ride along the river in Yangshuo. A cable car ride up the mountain and glass bridge was pretty amazing as well! Loved every moment! Michelle was so accommodating and kind and really did a great job with our four children! I highly recommend Michelle and China Highlights! They made our trip amazing and so easy!

ous venons de quitter Alice et son chauffeur qui nous ont accompagnés durant 3 merveilleux jours dans la région de Guillin. Alice est un guide très expérimenté qui parle parfaitement le fran?ais et ma?trise avec minutie son programme. Elle était très à l’écoute et toujours prête à nous faire découvrir les spécialités de la culture régionale. Notre chauffeur également était très gentil et toujours ponctuel, sa voiture très propre pouvait accueillir jusqu’à 5/6 personnes.

I would highly recommend Henry. He explained the history and gave us “pop quizzes” to keep us interested. Henry’s English was impeccable as my family learned about Guilin and had a wonderful time on a tea plantation, going to Yanshou and watching a show, taking the Li River Boat ride created lifelong memories.

What a magnificent place! Guilin and Yangshuo took my breath away with their natural beauty. Gary Wei was so informative and kind, honestly, Gary could tell me about the history of the town AND how the karsts developed and what caused the stone to turn white! I feel incredibly fortunate to go here and climb through the caves, uncover hidden strongholds and wander or float along the grand rivers. Gary and his knowledge and guidance was the cherry on top.

Fantástico viaje por China. Alonso y sus rutas por Guilin lo han hecho muy especial. Empresa muy seria y recomendable al 100%.

Our tour in Guilin experienced some unfavorable weather，It's too hot and stuffy.. However, our tour guide, Lele, was incredibly resourceful and managed to take us to an alternative location, ensuring that our trip remained uninterrupted. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, allowing us to enjoy the day without feeling rushed. We even had the opportunity to sample some delightful Guilin delicacies at a fantastic restaurant. Throughout the tour, one day was my daughter's birthday. Lele arranged a big （surprise） birthday party for us. the driver skillfully accommodated .Everything was completed on time, and the day concluded smoothly.

We enjoyed our visit to this picturesque area. Look on the backside of the 20 Yuan note: we were transported there, passing sheer cliffs on foot, in the car and from the deck of a ship. Beautiful! We stayed two nights in Yangshuo at the Moondance which is a homey and immensely enjoyable getaway. Louis is an attentive and knowledgeable guide. He speaks English like folks from home. Great trip!

William , nuestro guía en Guilin, se encargó de hacer que los días fueran mejores, al viajar con 2 chavos (20 y 21) se sintieron muy cómodos con el . Guilin y Yangshuo, debe ser obligatorio , ya que las vistas son espectaculares!! William nos llevó andar en bici, entre flores de loto y campos de arroz, y te consigue lo que necesites y se te antoje (sobre todo de comida , hay tantas frutas y verduras diferentes que vale la pena probar todas ) en verdad nos quedamos con muy buena impresión del guía y de la agencia !!!

Una experiencia inolvidable. Nuestro guía Alonso es muy profesional y atento. Nos mostró la belleza de las terrazas de arroz. El paseo en “side car” fue una gran aventura.

Wir waren w?hrend unserer 14 t?gigen Rundreise in China restlos begeistert von Land, Leute, Kultur und Essen. Alle Autos waren sauber und gepflegt und neuere Modelle. Bei unseren stets pünktlichen Fahrern haben wir uns sicher und bestens gefühlt. St?ndig hat man uns Wasser angeboten, einfach toll. Unsere Reiseführer sprachen flie?end deutsch und hatten ein umfassendes Wissen bei den jeweiligen Ausflügen und haben den ganzen Tag dafür gesorgt, dass es uns an nichts fehlt. Besonders waren auch die extravaganten Ausflüge wie z.B.einen Terrakotta Krieger selber basteln und mit nach Hause nehmen, oder die Radltour auf der Stadtmauer von Xi'An. Ein dickes DANKE an: Xiabo Song (Peking), Ken (Xi'An), Axel (Chengdu), Beate (Shanghai) und Lukas (Guilin). Die ganze Reise hat auch Lukas zusammen gestellt. Wir durften sogar das Büro von China-Highlights mit etwa 100 Mitarbeitern besuchen. Como parte de un viaje de 22 días en China, estuvimos en Guilin con Alonso de guía en espa?ol. Muy interesantes los paseos previstos por la agencia y la ubicación del hotel frente a un lago hermosísimo y en pleno centro. Paseamos por campos de arrozales, visitamos pueblo de minorías, pagodas, barco por río Li y cuevas de estalactitas y estalagmitas (flauta de ca?a) que superaron mis expectativas previas. Clima caluroso y húmedo con algo de lluvia, pero muy disfrutable igualmente. Alonso hizo que nuestra estadía fuera maravillosa, con su muy buen espa?ol y, sobre todo, su muy buena onda. Nos ayudó en todo lo que precisábamos (farmacia, por ejemplo), además de ayudarnos a elegir la comida en los almuerzos que lo hizo más disfrutable aún! Gracias

We visited Guilin and Yangshuo a few days ago using China Highlights. Our guide Henry and the driver Mrs. Zen were outstanding from start to finish. Henry has a warm engaging personality and deep knowledge of the areas.I definitely recommend China Highlights to anyone interested in exploring this area.

Gary, our Guilin guide, is really wonderful. He is respectful, always watches out for our safety, and makes sure we are comfortable and fully enjoy our trip. He took us to many beutiful places in Guilin. He is the very best guide and we are very lucky to have him and we give him our highest recommendation. When we return to Guilin we want him to again be our guide. Looking forward to my next Tai Chi lesson, Gary!

My family and I had the most wonderful guide - Ethan, who ensured we had a memorable trip. Ethan was excellent at explaining the history behind Beijing’s landmarks and places and was always prepared to answer any questions we had. Additionally, he took us to great restaurants for our lunch, where we were able to enjoy different aspects of Chinese cuisine. Both professional and friendly, Ethan truly made our trip special and we enjoyed every second of it! We highly recommend him as Beijing’s tour guide. Thank you Ethan!

We chose China Highlights for our trip because we read some very good reviews from people who had gone on holiday with elderly relatives, which was exactly our situation. China Highlights were excellent from the outset, with great input from Camilla to help us formulate and finalise a suitable tour itinerary. Our guide in Guilin,Frank was outstanding in all aspects, being knowledgeable, friendly,enthusiastic, helpful, resourceful, patient and kind. Our driver, too,was patient, tolerant and kind. Daily timings and activities were flexed to meet our needs, including stopping whenever we neededto and even adding an extra activity. The few problems that arosewere resolved quickly and effectively without any demur.

My wife and I took a 15 day tour of China; commencing 24/04/2025 and ending 08/05/2025 and of this, we spent 5 days in Guilin and Zhangjiajie; from 01/05/2025 to 05/05/2025. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits to the various historical sites in Guilin of; The Daxu Ancient Town, Elephant Trunk Hill, Reed Flute Cave, Li River Cruise and the other various tourist attractions in Zhangjiajie of; Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Yuanjiajie and Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, which were all planned exceptionally well. To our tour guides, Ms Sarah (Guilin) and Ms Joy (Zhangjiajie), thank you sincerely for looking after us really well and sharing your immense knowledge on the sites. The facilities of the hotels and vehicles provided were also of high standard and we sincerely thank China Travel, Sarah and Joy for organizing and presenting us with fond memories of Guilin and Zhangjiajie. In Guilin our guide Lele was very professionals, with good English, he demonstrated well knowing his field. We received filling as met our new friend.Lele makes it feel as if you are touring abroad with your best friend. You almost forget that you are away from home. For all our trip we were happy to meet such good people.
