Our guide in Tibet, Yangkyi, was incredible, also. When our flight into Lhasa was turned around due to inclement weather, she remained in close communication with us and really worked hard to ensure we were able to see the things we wanted to see in our remaining time. She was able to get us into Potala Palace before the afternoon crowds and immediately recognized that my husband was suffering from a slight case of altitude sickness due to the elevation. She gave us excellent advice on how to deal with his altitude sickness and even brought oxygen for him when we visited Yamdrok Lake and the nearby glacier which are at an even higher elevation than Lhasa.
