In Xiamen, January is the second coldest month of the year after February. During this month, the maximum temperature is 17°C (63°F) and the minimum temperature is 10 °C (50 °F). The weather is cool, with more sunshine, less clouds and mist, strong winds, and little rain, making it cold and dry in January.
If you are outside, wear a sweater, coat, and scarf to avoid catching a cold. Ultraviolet radiation is weak and you can go outside without putting on any skin protection.Nora Ou replied on 2013-10-12
