Fantastic
What an epic day we had with or guide “Ivy” from the tour company “China Highlights” visiting Tianamen Square, Forbidden City, having a local Chinese meal and walking on the Great Wall of China at Mutianyu!! Ivy was informative, personable, fun, caring and delivered a great experience for us. Her guide experience was evident in her management and pace of our day and making sure we went to great picture locations that created lasting memories of our trip!! Highly recommend you asking for Ivy. moreMar 2023, Drew Walker

Adorable trip to Beijing with China Highlights
Such an amazing time spent together with my husband and our guide Nancy in Beijing. We recommend booking the tour with China Highlights as that was an incredibly smart idea and trip we have had over past few days. Visiting the Great Wall of China, the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven etc., getting more close to the history of China, having the delicious food - that was all done by the CH. We won’t be having such wonderful time without you guys. Still being so amazed and impressed by the historical progress of the country. Much appreciated for your support, help and time, Dear Nancy and China Highlights. Kind Regards, Kenneth&Assel Gillan moreMar 2023, Assel G

Great Wall Day Trip with Ivy
She answered our questions thoroughly and she also provided us with recommendations for food and things to see outside of our Great Wall day trip. The driver was also a very safe driver and made it a comfortable drive from the city center. We hope to use China Highlights again for future trips. And if you’re in Beijing, you can request for Ivy as your guide. moreFeb 2023, kattaubry

Fantastic Beijing Tour with Tour Guide - Angela
Had a great time visiting Beijing over Chinese New Year! The city was quiet, but that made it easier to see everything that we wanted to. Our tour guide, Angela, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We found a local brewery, Slow Boat, that we went to twice it was so good. Amazing beer and best burger of my life! We can't wait to book another trip with China Highlights. moreFeb 2023, Kate P

Beautiful experience in Beijing
The Forbidden City was a highlight of the tour. With Christina's knowledgeable and engaging commentary, we learned about the history of the imperial palace and its role as the center of Chinese politics for over 500 years. The complex is massive, and it was impressive to see the intricate details of the architecture and gardens. moreFeb 2023, Valeria RP

Our guide Lily and driver Leo were amazing and super conscious that we were traveling with a toddler. Lily was knowledgeable about all of our stops and was very conscious of our time. Good to Know
Group Tours: On the group tours included in some of the cities you will be picked you up at the hotel; our guide will confirm the time each night before the tour.
Start your day standing on the awe-inspiring Tiananmen Square. Then move on to the Forbidden City, the most famous imperial palace in China, maybe the world!
More unknown but just as magnificent is the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors of old would sacrifice for good harvest. On the way you will have a chance to get to know the Chinese traditional medicine culture.
A Chinese lunch, and then breathe the fresh air in the Summer Palace, surrounded by lakes and mountains. It's easy to understand why the emperors' choose this as their summer residence.

Stand on one of the wonders of the world, the Badaling Great Wall, and see it snake into the distance. On the way you will have a chance to see the oldest imperial tombs from the Ming Dynasty, have lunch before heading back to the city.
While resting your feet onboard the bus from the walk on the Great Wall, you will catch a glimpse of the Olympic Green, the National Stadium - the Bird's Nest, and the National Aquatics Center – the Water Cube, before returning to your hotel.

Enjoy your free morning in Beijing. Transfer to train station for high-speed train to Xi'an, which takes about four and a half hours on the fast and comfortable train.
Upon arrival, meet your Xi'an guide and transfer to hotel.
One of the most memorable experiences in China waits: seeing the Terracotta Warriors and Horses. Each one is subtly different; some say they must have been based on real people. After lunch you visit Banpo ancient village with thousands of years of history.

Transfer to airport for flight to Guilin. Upon arrival, your Guilin guide will greet you at the arrival hall and transfer to hotel for check-in.
A cruise down the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo offers stunning natural scenery along the way. Between spectacular limestone peaks you'll see graceful bamboo groves, farmers tending rice paddies, and lumbering water buffaloes pulling carts or cooling off in the river. Simple lunch is provided onboard. Arrive at Yangshuo pier at around 2 pm (depending on water level and weather). After strolling along the narrow roads on the Yangshuo Market, transfer back to your hotel in Guilin.

You will have a full morning to see the beautiful city of Guilin by yourself. In the afternoon, your guide and driver will escort you to train station for bullet train to Guangzhou, which takes no more than 3 hours of comfortable ride. After arrival, meet your Guangzhou guide and transfer to hotel.
Guangzhou was not always the metropolitan city it is now; you get to see a glimpse of the history through visits to the Chen Family Temple, Lizhiwan canal area and Qing Ping Market. Ranked by our customers and those on TripAdvisor as one of the best attractions in the city.
After lunch, visit the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, built in memory of the founder of the first Chinese republic, and the Six Banyan Pagoda.

We will escort you from your hotel to the train station, ensuring your catch the direct though train to Hong Kong. Upon arrival, meet your Hong Kong guide and transfer to hotel.
The rest of the day is left free to exlpre the city by yourself. For things to do while in Hong Kong, see our web page: https://www.chinahighlights.com/hong-kong/. Most service people speak good English.
We recommend Temple Street night market in Kowloon near you hotel, open from 4pm to midnight. There is an astonishing variety of clothing, electronic gadgets, luggage etc. Even if you're not into shopping, the narrow streets and atmosphere are an experience to remember.

Continue to explore Hong Kong by yourself. For retail therapy we recommend Causeway Bay, one of the largest concentrations of shopping and entertainment complexes.
