Chengdu Weather in February
February is cold, but not as cold as January, with an average high temperature of 12°C (54°F ) and an average low temperature of 5 °C (41 °C ). The month sees little rain, but you won't feel very dry because of the topographical conditions of the city. Wear a sweater, a coat, thick socks, and a scarf to stay warm when you go outside.
Chinese New Year may take place in late January. A lot of cultural activates and celebrations are arranged in the streets during the festival, making this the best time of the year to experience Chinese traditional culture. For example, the flower show at Qingyang Palace at the West Gate of Chengdu offers lots of special flowers and potted plants brought by florists. Transportation is also busiest during the New Year period, and flights and train tickets are difficult to reserve.If you visit during the festival, book your tickets in advance.
