Since Kunming basically enjoys springtime all year round, December is not as cold as in other places, but experiences great temperature differences between day and night. The maximum temperature is 15 °C (59 °F) and the minimum temperature is 3 °C (37 °F). Autumn and winter clothing, such as a sweatsuit, a light coat, and woolen sweaters are essential to staying warm. The weather is dry so bring soothing moisturizer.

hoping to visit Kunming in 2015, what is it like travelling there, When is it at its best, what is the transportation like and what are the main attractions.

Hi Arjumand, Kunming is a warm and beautiful city. It is worth visiting. Apr./ May. /Sep./ Oct. / Nov. would be the excellent time to visit. The transportation is convenient. Hi weiliam. Kunming is given a nick name “Spring City” for its warm and comfortable weather throughout the year. It is never too cold in winter, with an average temperature is 7 °C (44 °F) nor too hot in the summer, with an average temperature is about 21 °C(71 °F). December is the coldest month, and the average low temperature is 2 °C (36 °F). Hi Bruce, It has been winter in December. Though it is mainly sunny, the weather is cold. There is a noticeable drop in temperature between days and nights.
