Travel Tips
Considering the long journey duration, we recommend you consider the Z trains that run between Shanghai and Xining.
You can also consider taking a flight. Four pairs of flights operate between Shanghai and Xining every day and the journey duration is about 2½ hours. The full airfare is about 2,290 CNY (327 USD).
However, you can check to see if there are any discounts in advance. Sometimes, you can find very good discounts, such as 70% off in April 2020.
