Lijiang Nightlife

In Lijiang, there are numerous bars and teahouses. Most of western-style bars gather in Xinyi Street (新义街), and these bars have signboards with their English names. It is easy to catch foreign friends' sight. Bars in Lijiang are famous around China. Generally speaking, most bars locate in a bar-street: stretching from the upper section of Dongda Street (东大街) to Sifang Street (四方街). In the past, the bar-street is also called Foreigners' Street, because there are so many foreigner friends. In the central area of Lijiang Ancient City, Sifang Street, there are many teahouses designed in different styles. The owners of most teahouses are from other places, they determined to stay in Lijiang for the warm sun, fresh air and quiet life when they traveled there.
