Two amazing tours
Both tours were led by excellent guides who knew a lot about everywhere we went, and were very helpful and friendly. The agent was equally helpful and quick in responding to questions which was ,especially in covid restrictions time, extremely convenient. moreJul 2022, Elizabeth

Amazing Tibet experience in Sichuan
Henry was an informative guide who went out of his way to ensure positive experiences. Mr Wu was not only a safe and attentive driver on sometimes rough roads but also a great photographer, capturing shots of us as we toured. Henry went out of his way to talk to anyone around to help bring the place alive through stories so we had the opportunity to meet so many locals, real people, and hear about their lives. Another highlight was the opportunity to climb a 1000 year old watchtower in Danba and meet the local family who managed it. Truly magical. Henry was also a consummate foodie who provided us with great local food recommendations along the way. moreJul 2021, Deborah J

Panda heaven
We have just completed the Chengdu leg of our trip to China organised by Robert Hui at China Highlights. Our Guide for the 2 Day trip was Daisy Du who made us feel very welcome and helped us check in and ensured our rooms were satisfactory then gave us directions of where to go for the best food. The next day Daisy took us straight to the Giant Panda Breeding and Research centre. It was fantastic to see the Pandas so close. It’s a little sad that they are in captivity but it is essential to increase the breeding rate and so save these wonderful animals from extinction. We saw Pandas of all ages and sizes including a tiny little baby that was only 36 day old. After an extremely tasty lunch picked for us by Daisy she then took us into the people’s park and showed us the tea houses and dating area where parents can advertise their single ‘30 something’ children to potential partners. The day ended with a wander around Jinli Old Street where you can buy anything from food to souvenirs to furniture. We have had the best time in Chengdu helped no end by the friendly, helpfulness of our guide Daisy who knew all the best places to go and sights to see. Thank you Daisy, a great time was had by all. ---jayne_Stu Halifax, United Kingdom moreNov 2019, jayne_Stu

Wonderful Chengdu tour with Jason
With other two friends I have visited Chengdu in September 2018 and our tour guide was Jason, who has been really amazing with us.He had the smart idea to bring us to the Pandas reserve very early in order to avoid the crowds, even if we were visiting Chengdu right during the Chinese national holidays. After the Pandas reserve, we visited the tea park and the city centre, where Jason could give us a lot of information about Chengdu. Jason gave us also very nice suggestions about places to visit in the evenings during our free time. Totally recommended!!! ---Vittorio C Berlin, Germany moreNov 2019, Vittorio C

Suggested Itinerary
Please check the general itinerary of the whole day. Your guide may adjust the itinerary based on the weather, transportation, and your requirements.
Your guide and driver will pick you up from hotel at 8am. Your guide will call you at the hotel one day in advance or leave a message to double check the collection time with you. The whole tour will last for about 10 hours.
9am–11:30am — Panda Breeding Center
Your first stop is the Panda Breeding and Research Center, home to nearly 50 giant pandas and red pandas. It's where the Kung Fu Panda 3 movie creators became inspired to portray an entire village of the adorable black and white creatures.
This beautifully-laid-out park is about 10 kilometers (6 miles) from downtown Chengdu, with excellent walkways to various open enclosures of pandas.
It is best to go early in the morning to see the pandas feeding at around 9:30am, as they are most active at this time of day.
There is also a small theater in the center, where you can watch a 20-minute video to learn about giant panda research and breeding.

11:30am–2:30pm — Enjoy Sichuan Food
Enjoy authentic Sichuan cuisine in a local restaurant. Taste the dumplings and noodles loved by Po. Have a short rest during the private 1½-hour drive to Mount Qingcheng.

2:30pm–4:30pm — Mount Qingcheng
Mount Qingcheng is home to many Taoist temples and historical sites among winding paths. The verdant trees, thick fog, green moss on the roofs, and other natural elements are all incorporated into the scenery of Panda Village in Kung Fu Panda 3.
It is also listed as a World Heritage Site. Taking a cable car up and down, you will leave the busy world behind and climb above the mist to see the gorgeous mountain.

4:30pm–6pm — Return to Chengdu
After waving goodbye to Po's hometown, your guide and driver will escort you back to your hotel in Chengdu city.
Trip Notes
1. Baby Pandas
March to May is the "falling in love period" for pandas. If you visit the Panda Breeding and Research Center between July and December, you will have a greater chance of seeing tiny newborns in the Sunshine Nursery House at the Panda Breeding and Research Center.
2. Get close to pandas
In order to protect the giant pandas from canine distemper infection, The Panda Breeding and Research Center has stopped all the panda interconnect activities since January, 2015.
If you want to get close to the pandas and do something for them, you can visit the Dujiangyan Panda Base (90-minute's drive from Chengdu). The Panda Keeper Program and taking photo with pandas is only available there now. The program can last for one to three days and the activities may include feeding the pandas, making panda cakes and cleaning the panda enclosures. You can visit here to book 1-Day Chengdu to Dujiangyan Panda Keeper Program Tour.
Feel free to tell us your requirements and interests, and we will be happy to help you arrange a trip using our professional knowledge and experience.
3. Mount Qingcheng's Two Areas
Front Mountain: The view of this part is very close to sceneries in the movie Kung Fu Panda 3 and the Taoist temples of Front Mountains are big and famous. Some stairs are narrow and steep. You can take a boat across Yuecheng Lake and take the Buyun Cable Car to keep the tour relaxing. After getting off the cable car, 1-1½ hour walking on the steep stairs is required. Without cable car, at least 3 hours are requried.
Back Mountain: This part is quieter and the Taoist temples are smaller and scattered in the deep forest. It's a great place to appreciate natural beauty and breath fresh, but the stairs of this part are lack of maintainess. Two cable cars are available at hillside and on the mountain top, but taking cable car may miss the most beautiful parts of the mountain. Without cable car, it takes about 3.5 hours to climb up and down the mountain.
