Weather: Other than April and May, September and October are the best touring months weatherwise. But there are more crowds. There is a lot of bright sunshine.
The average nightly low temperature is 20 °C (68 °F), and the average daily high temperature is 28 °C (82 °F). Some days, the temperatures may approach 38 °C (100 °F). The humidity is 78%. A third of the time, the sky is clear or mostly clear.
There is much less rain than in the summer. The monthly precipitation totals 80 mm, and rain falls in about 9 days of the month. If it rains, the rainfall is often light. There are few thunderstorms.

Clothing: During the day, summer clothing is enough, but during the evening, long-sleeve shirts might be needed. If you are out long on sunny days, it is a good idea to wear a sun hat, a pair of sunglasses, and clothing that protects your skin.
This annual festival and carnival features parades, drummers, and performing artists from all over China. It generally coincides with the Mid-Autumn and the National Day holidays (late September to mid-October). It is held on Yanjiang Avenue (武汉江汉区沿江大道) on the scenic Yangtze River in Hankou, two kilometers from Yellow Crane Tower.
East Lake Park: A million visitors enjoy the 88 square kilometers of woods, walking paths, gardens, and 33 square-kilometer lake, the biggest in any city in China.The park's main garden area park is on Mo Hill, a good place to see fall scenery.
Hubei Provincial Museum: This large museum is on the shore of East Lake, and its Wuhan's favorite foreign tourist attraction. It is Hubei's main museum, housing national treasures with English signs.
Mid-Autumn Festival, China's second most popular holiday is in September about five out of six years. People enjoy delicious moon cakes and gather outside to see a glorious full moon, numerous folk performances, and entertainment.
National holidays and the Wuhan International Tourist Festival make (late) September a busy travel month. Along with the Mid-Autumn Fest, there is a three day October 1 National Day holiday.
Parks and popular attractions are crowded. Wuhan flights, train tickets and hotel rooms are more difficult to get and more expensive, though bullet trains now ease the congestion significantly. Let us help you arrange your transportation and accommodations early.
