See the Wuhan International Tourist Festival
East Lake shorelineThis annual festival and carnival features parades, drummers, and performing artists from all over China. It generally coincides with the Mid-Autumn and the National Day holidays (late September to mid-October). It is held on Yanjiang Avenue (武汉江汉区沿江大道) on the scenic Yangtze River in Hankou, two kilometers from Yellow Crane Tower.
Visit East Lake Park
East Lake Park: A million visitors enjoy the 88 square kilometers of woods, walking paths, gardens, and 33 square-kilometer lake, the biggest in any city in China.The park's main garden area park is on Mo Hill, a good place to see fall scenery.
The Hubei Provincial Museum
Hubei Provincial Museum: This large museum is on the shore of East Lake, and its Wuhan's favorite foreign tourist attraction. It is Hubei's main museum, housing national treasures with English signs.
The Mid-Autumn Festival
Mid-Autumn Festival, China's second most popular holiday is in September about five out of six years. People enjoy delicious moon cakes and gather outside to see a glorious full moon, numerous folk performances, and entertainment.

High Travel and Tourism Season
National holidays and the Wuhan International Tourist Festival make (late) September a busy travel month. Along with the Mid-Autumn Fest, there is a three day October 1 National Day holiday.
