Terracotta Soldier and Horse

Located in Xi'an, the Terracotta Army is one of the most famous attractions in China. It is considered to be one of the greatest archaeological sites in the world and one of the greatest discoveries of the 20th century. And this decade it is being exhibited all over the world.

The Terracotta Army served as afterlife guards for the tomb of the first emperor, Qin ShiHuang. There are thousands of life-size statues of terracotta warriors and horses, which represent the power of the Qin Dynasty's army.

In 2018, the Terracotta Army Museum attracted 8 million tourists. As well as this, the Terracotta Army Museum participates in overseas cultural exchanges and shows the splendid culture of the Qin Dynasty to the rest of the world.

Two overseas exhibitions of the Terracotta Warriors are scheduled for this year (2019):

It will be the third Terracotta Warriors exhibition in the museum's history. This exhibition featuring China's terracotta soldiers will open at 7 PM, Tuesday October 1, 2019 in the Bowers Museum. The exhibition theme andother details are to be announced.
