Travel Tips
Considering the long journey duration on the normal-speed trains, we recommend you consider the Z trains that run between Zhengzhou and Urumqi as these are the fastest.
You can also consider taking a flight. Over 10 pairs of flights operate between Zhengzhou and Urumqi every day and the journey duration is about 4½ hours. The full airfare is about 2,500 CNY (358 USD).
However, you can check to see if there are any discounts in advance. Sometimes, you can find very good discounts, such as 70% off in April 2020.
